Yoga Class Definitions
All Levels- Stretching, strengthening, and balancing postures with focus on body alignment. *Appropriate for beginners*
Flow-Moving smoothly from breath to breath and pose to pose. Working on improving stamina, strength and flexibility. Regular practice includes inversions, arm balances, and backbends. (Not recommended during pregnancy)
Prana Yoga -This class focuses on building strength, endurance, and recharging the body's vital energy-Prana.
Private Yoga Parties- A time reserved for small groups or families, co-workers, or friends to enjoy a personalized yoga class with the teacher of your choice. Call to schedule a time and a teacher.
Sivananda Yoga- A strengthening and challenging yoga practice that emphasizes proper exercise, proper relaxation, proper diet and meditation.
Slow & Gentle- Conscious movements for people seeking increased vitality and range of motion. Sequences to warm joints and tissues. Recommended for beginners or someone wanting a more gentle class. *Appropriate for beginners*
Therapeutic Yoga- Our gentlest and slowest class utilizes chairs, walls and the floor for support. Recommended for people recovering from injury, with chronic conditions such as arthritis, M.S. chronic fatigue or any other physical limitation.
Yin Yoga- Long held poses to release deep tissues, very meditative in nature.
Relaxing Yoga with Aromatherapy- A harmonious blend of aromatherapy, meditation, and yoga. Different essential oils help make this class relaxing and restorative. *Appropriate for beginners*
Yoga for Beginners- The name says it all, great for someone just starting the practice of yoga.
Stress Reduction-This calming yet energizing class focuses on releasing both physical and mental tensions and discomforts. *Appropriate for beginners*
Viniyoga- is an approach to Yoga that emphasizes the function rather than form in asana practice and adopts the forms of postures to achieve different results. These goals are based on each individual and their interests and needs.
Tai Chi Taijiquan- Taijiquan is a graceful, slow-moving form of Tai Chi that is appropiate for all adults. It helps create balance, flexibility, strength and coordination. Regular attendance is encouraged.
